christen went prawn fishing & caught 3 prawns!! haha!! i fried the 3 prawns with salt & garlic-flavoured oil

blachan fried rice!!
sambal blachan
grinding grilled blachan with red chillis (mix of normal & spicy ones), limau purut leaves, lime skin and a bit of lime juice. wow... this lot of sambal blachan is packed with childhood flavours from alow's nonya kitchen (alow is what i called my late maternal grandma).
below: fried minced pork... with egg. weird combo but so yummy!!

some days, we eat cereals cooked with milk, honey and a dash of maple syrup. yummmmm!!

toufu & century egg
- silken toufu x1 pack (for steaming)
- century egg x2
- soya sauce x5-6 tbsp
(i used japanese kikoman soya & chinese light soya sauce)
- fish sauce x1 tbsp
- sesame oil x4 tbsp
- fried garlic & oil x1 tbsp
- shaoxing wine x1-2 tbsp
- white pepper

with garlic, chilli flakes, salt & pepper
- leather jacket
seasoned with salt & pepper,
fry with potato starch
- fry fish & set aside
- fry garlic until crispy, add salt, chilli flakes (i use the thai fried garlic & chilli flakes) & spring onions
- add fried fish, mix with garlic mix and then serve
