cooking is quite a challenge!
working these few months and so exhausted these days.
also have pilate class on mondays 9-10pm
sometimes forget to take photos too,
wonder why - since i have the habit of taking pics all these years...
so below are quick photos of food on days i remember to take photos for my food journal.

veggie rolls!
Recipe - Veggie Beancurd Rolls
1. fry (separately)
a. fresh prawns with garlic
for these rolls, i used prawn balls
b. veggies
season with salt, white pepper, light soya, oyster sauce and sesame oil
- shredded carrots,
- black fungus,
- bamboo shoots,
- dried chinese mushrooms
- spring onions (today i used spring onions from the garden)
- optional - cabbage
2. prepare beancurd skin
3. roll cooked veggies with beancurd skin
4. grill the veggie rolls
5. make the gravy
- dark soya sauce, oyster sauce, sugar shaoxing chinese wine and sesame oil
6. add tbe gravy to the rolls and steam
7. serve hot with steamed rice

7am onwards -
defrosted the ingredients for bakwan kepiting,
cooked chicken feet soup with 2 red dates,
then combined and seasoned the ingredients: -
- minced pork 1.5 kg
- sotong paste x1 packet
- prawn paste x2 packets (triangle type)
- peeled fresh prawns x1 packet
- bamboo shoots
- water chestnuts
brunch - chong boon market
bak kut teh and grey mullet
dropped off bak kut teh at ko ko's house
cooked lunch (with jannah and christen's help)
- chicken feet soup
- chai poh omelette with spring onions
- otah
- rice
then cooked these dishes with jannah's help
- bakwan kepiting
- sioh
- crab omelette with carrots and french beans
- belacan fried rice
- fried tempeh

started preparing meals for cny eve and cny day1.
- sambal belacan
- sioh rempah + marinade chicken
lunch/dinner
- steamboat for lunch and dinner - since no time to cook!
- aidan, christen and jannah helped to prepare lunch
while i prepare the sambal belacan and sioh rempah to season the chicken.

working all day ... so tired!!
and had a bad tummy pain so took simple food!
breakfast - ham and egg sandwich (4 seasons cafe, fortune centre)
lunch - yong tofu with rice (fortune centre)
dinner - steamboat at home!
(we had steamboat for next day's lunch and dinner too! cos i was cooking)
- iberico pork collar shabu shabu (chef brand)
- pork ball
- beef ball
- sotong ball
- prawn and fish roe ball
- beancurd roll with fish paste
- spinach, tang or, broccoli and eggs

breakfast at malaysia boleh
lunch - ate leftover ginger chicken and thai sauce (many days already)
aidan came home from vietnam then
went to the wake with aidan
dinner - had diarrhea and but tummy pain

and had some leftover beef soup
aidan bought some broccoli after visiting papa and mama in woodlands.
(papa went hospital for stones in gall bladder)
cooked oxtail soup & beef golden coin,
fried eggs and french beans,
leftover sio bak, char siew and spinach with mushrooms
cooking for aidan and kristy
chicken wings,
spinach with mushrooms,
char siew sio bak
met dennis teo and family at fortune centre
for coffee/tea and kaya toast
had 2 eggs
ate some cantonese gnao lam beef brisket noodles
then went airport to drive aidan home
aidan is home after 5-6 months in Canada & USA!!
